Having a kitchen remodeled is quite disruptive, especially when you're living in the house while it's being done. Dan did a superb job of keeping it down to a minimum; treating us with the utmost respect. He made sure to clean-up after the crew each night and all tools and supplies were neatly tucked away so as not to get in our way.

His attention to detail made our kitchen quite the showcase. He re-oriented the cabinet door to make it easier for us to reach in. Added extra trim around the frig and base cabinets to match the trim through the rest of the house. Redid the crown modeling because he didn't like how it went in the first time. Asked the flooring guys to work a weekend to stay on schedule. Had the electrician to return to put in the switches we wanted. Painted the kick-space heater so it would blend in with the cabinets. Requested the granite company to return to re-seam and re-seal our countertop.

We live on the second floor so when our appliances arrived, he took special care not to scratch or ding them while moving them up the stairs and through the house. He even took the extra step of covering our hardwood floors so as not to scratch them. During the whole process, it felt as if he treated our home as his own.

We had a horrific experience with the contractor we hired to remodel the bathroom, but Dan took it upon himself to fix some of the flaws. We wish we hired him to remodel the bathroom, too. He helped make our house feel more like a home.

We bought our first house in July 2009, a two-family in J.P. that had been vacant for several years. We had our first baby a month later. Daniel Madri Construction did all the work necessary to ready our house for our new family, from rebuilding our front porch to installing missing doors to seamlessly patching missing flooring and baseboard. Furthermore, he managed to do it without adding any unnecessary stress to our lives. Dan checked in with us regularly about exactly how we wanted everything done, told us upfront how much everything would cost, and helpfully explained our options when the unexpected happened (it turned out that the support structure hidden beneath the flooring on our porches was rotten - something our home inspector had missed!). After watching Dan's meticulous craftsmanship in building our front porch, our do-it-himselfer neighbor is planning to hire Dan this summer, and another neighbor referred him to his mother.

Dan and his colleagues were excellent!  I was thrilled with the porch he built for us.  Every thing was superior, from communication, craftsmanship, and professionalism.  I would not hesitate to recommend him for any project, big and small.
